JAXPORT Chief Executive Officer Brian Taylor to present “State of the Port" Address Feb. 2
The Jacksonville Port Authority’s (JAXPORT’s) Chief Executive Officer Brian Taylor will present the annual “State of the Port" address on Thursday, Feb. 2 to members and guests of the Propeller Club of the United States – Port of Jacksonville. The event will be held at the University of North Florida's (UNF's) Adam W. Herbert University Center (12000 Alumni Dr., Jacksonville, Fla., 32211). Check-in opens at 11:00 a.m., and the event program begins at 11:30 a.m. The event is open to the public, but advanced registration is required. The cost is $50 for an individual ticket, and $380 for a corporate table that seats eight. Lunch is included, and $5 from each ticket sold goes toward funding the Propeller Club’s Transportation/Logistics Scholarship at UNF.Tickets are on sale now - click here to purchase. The program will include announcements by club leadership, ceremonial traditions performed by the U.S. Coast Guard, and a presentation from Taylor covering various port topics, including maritime industry trends, JAXPORT business, harbor deepening, and more. UNF Student Port & Propeller Club organize 15th Annual Hubbard House Holiday Drive
On Dec. 3, 2016, members of the University of North Florida (UNF) Transportation & Logistics Society/Student Port and the Propeller Club of Jacksonville will decorate the Hubbard House lobby for the holidays and deliver items collected during our 15th Annual Hubbard House Holiday Drive.Hubbard House is the oldest domestic violence shelter in Florida. While Propeller Club members brought donations for the drive to our Membership Social in September, the Student Port has also been collecting donations and items this Fall. Donated funds will be used to purchase strollers and portable cribs.There's still time for you to get involved this holiday season and make a difference in the lives of women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
